GRID

Comments Off on GRID

The grid has a long and prolific history within architecture. It is an indispensable device for the existence of space, being both a model of rationality and a sign of artificiality. This one-day event will address the manifold character of the grid, examining its existence as object, instrument and representation, and extending the discussion from its historical manifestations into contemporary debates.

The day’s event has been organised as a series of nine sessions, each composed by a presentation, a response and questions from the audience. It will end with a discussion between Pier Vittorio Aureli, Mark Campbell and Marina Lathouri.

10 May 2013, from 10.00 to 17.00 (see schedule)
